We appreciated this place - peaceful and pleasant hotel.
By and large, it was superb base for sightseeing in Monsaraz, had much fun and met affable staff always at our service. The room was quiet and spotless and with a fridge, an electric kettle, and a microwave oven at your disposal, pleasant view on the olive trees.

Nothing. Very expensive for what it is and I wouldnt consider this hotel as a four star hotel. 2 star would be more than adequate.
The sofa beds are very uncomfortable. They could have provided a better quality of sofa beds considering that if you have four adults staying, it should be all the same comfortable beds. The two other ones in the room are okay. The breakfast is very basic and the selection is very poor. The location is not properly signed. They should put signs from the back side of the road.

I recently stayed at a charming hotel in Monsaraz for one night. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the check-in process was quick. The hotel grounds were well-maintained, and I enjoyed spending time by the two spacious pools. The location was great, with a view of the castle and just a short drive away. Additionally, the hotel served delicious snacks until late evening, and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. I will definitely stay here again when I have more time to explore the area.
I can highly recommend this hotel.

The breakfast
Being too close to another room, and the door lock which could not be left open.

Simple and adequate place, maybe much charming in summer, using swimmig pools. Large rooms, good breakfast and people nice.

I absolutely loved the cozy and charming decoration of the hotel. The vintage furniture and warm colors made me feel right at home. The general areas were well-maintained and accessible for someone like me, a senior woman. The hotel had ramps and elevators, making it easy for me to navigate around with my walking stick.
I wish there were more activities specifically catered to senior people. It would have been nice to have some gentle exercise classes or organized outings that are suitable for us.

The staff are very friendly and were happy to help. The rooms are quiet in a nice rural setting. The breakfast is excellent with a good selection. It was a real bonus to be able to watch a Rugby World Cup semi final match in the dining room during breakfast.
We liked the hotel very much but breakfast isn't available until 9 A.M. It would be good to have this available earlier - most places it's 7:30 A.M.
